This form of sedation dentistry involves taking a small pill to reduce dental anxiety before you even arrive. You will take anti-anxiety medication about an hour before your visit and feel fairly drowsy and relaxed during and after treatment.

Many procedures are performed under local anesthesia. The process involves administering anesthetic to numb selective areas of the mouth. The numbing effect typically lasts for a few hours so you can undergo the procedure without any discomfort or pain.

This form of sedation dentistry is a drug-induced loss of consciousness where you will be asleep throughout your entire procedure. We will make arrangements to have an anesthesiologist present during the procedure to monitor you throughout surgery. You will need someone to drive you home after treatment and will most likely sleep for several hours afterwards.
